Job description:
As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Oracle databases. Your primary objective will be to ensure the availability, security, and optimal performance of the Oracle database environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases on various operating systems.
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
Manage and maintain database security, including user accounts, roles, and permissions.
Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues, including errors, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.
Plan and implement database upgrades and patches to ensure compatibility and maintain supportability.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure database design and performance optimization.
Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams as required.
Create and maintain documentation of database processes, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
Experience with database monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
